Sean Teale Cast in Fox’s X-Men Pilot

It was revealed about a month ago that a new X-Men TV series would be making it’s way over to Fox, with the Pilot being helmed by Bryan Singer. While there hasn’t exactly been a steady influx of news coming in regarding the unreleased show, we seem to be getting our first round of casting announcements. Blair Redford was the first to be announced, followed by Jamie Chung as Blink. And yesterday it was revealed that the show would be lead by True Blood veteran Stephen Moyer. Now, another actor’s role in the show has been revealed.

Deadline is reporting that English actor Sean Teale (Reign, Skins) has officially been added to the show’s cast, and will be playing Marcos Diaz, aka Eclipse. Check out the character description they provided for his character below:

“A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe.”

It’s dope to see that they’re willing to create new characters to fit in this new universe, and even doper that they’re casting POC to fill in those roles. We’ll just have to wait and see exactly how Teale takes on the role when the new X-Men pilot debuts. Tell us what you think about this casting news in the comment section below!
