According to Entertainment Weekly, iZombie star, Rahul Kohli will guest-star on an upcoming episode of Supergirl.

Kohli will play Jack Spheer, a tech prodigy who has dedicated years of his life working on a medical innovation that could eliminate illnesses and change the way humankind lives- if it works.

Spheer comes to National City to debut his technology to the press and becomes front-page news in the process.

His venture to the city also stirs up feelings for his old flame, Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath).

In the DC Comics universe, Spheer’s invention eventually mutates him and he becomes the villain, Biomax who has the ability to control minds. However, it is not currently known whether the television version of Jack Spheer will suffer the same fate.

Kohli is excited to be working in Supergirl and told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s given me the chance to continue my relationship with The CW as well as fulfill my goal of meeting a Kryptonian.”

Kohli is set to appear as Spheer in episode 18: “Ace Reporter”. This episode will prominently feature Kara’s journalism skills, according to executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg.
