Anson Mount Cast as Black Bolt in Marvel’s Inhumans
The leader of Marvel’s Inhumans has been found in actor, Anson Mount.
Mount will portray Black Bolt, the king of the Inhumans who has a voice so forceful that at full volume, is capable of destroying an entire planet.
Previously, Mount had a starring role in the AMC Western, Hell on Wheels.
According to Entertainment Weekly, head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb said, “His enthusiasm mixed with his imposing almost regal persona made it easy to see why he is our Black Bolt.”
Showrunner, Scott Buck also praised Mount and said, “Black Bolt is a character whose deep complexity must be conveyed without uttering a single word, and I’m very excited to have Anson on board to bring him to life.”
Mount joins already announced Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), who will play Bolt’s brother, Maximus.
The first two episodes of Marvel’s Inhumans will be screened at theaters in IMAX form for two weeks in September. The show will then be aired on ABC for its 8-episode run.
