Simon Kinsberg in Talks to Direct “X-Men: Supernova”
Recently, there have been lots of rumors of a new X-Men film set to shoot this summer. Then, last Monday, Sophie Turner, who played Jean Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse, confirmed the rumor. Today, Collider reported that Simon Kinsberg has written the screenplay for the film, and that he is in talks to direct it.

Kinsberg has never directed a film, but he is not new to the X-Men franchise. He has been involved in seven other X-Men projects, including the film Logan, which will hit theaters next Friday!
This film, currently titled X-Men: Supernova, is said to be about Jean Grey turning into Dark Phoenix. So far, very little is known about the cast. X-Men fans also have the film New Mutants, directed by Josh Boone, to look forward to in the near future.
So, what do you think about this news? Does X-men: Supernova sound like something you’d like to watch? Does it sound out-of-this-world to you? Do you think it’s a good idea to have Kinsberg at the helm? Let us know in the comment section below.
