Lucasfilm has been working hard lately, what with them attempting to push out a new Star Wars film ever year. Next year, we’ll be getting a solo Han Solo film staring Hail Caesar‘s Alden Ehrenreich, who will be living out the youth of everyone’s favorite scoundrel.
While an official cast list has yet to be provided, some talented names have been added to the roster of this Star Wars Anthology: Donald Glover will be portraying a young version of Billy Dee Williams’ Lando Calrrisian, and with him, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), and Woody Harrelson (Now You See Me 1 & 2) are confirmed to be members of the cast. Now, a new actress’s name has entered the hat, and it’s a good one.
Variety is reporting that Westworld star Thandie Newton is currently in negotiations with Lucasfilm for an unnamed part in the Han Solo movie. The source is unnamed, meaning this announcement is still up in the air. However, the possibility of this is exciting, because Thandie is an amazing actress, and we’d love to see her take on this role. Tell us what you think in the comment section below!
The unnamed Han Solo film is scheduled to release on May 25th, 2018.
