Cyborg Confirmed as the Third Mother Box in ‘Justice League’

When Batman v. Superman came out, a few easter eggs were dropped throughout the movie, but some things flew under the radar due to the overall storyline. Batman v. Superman introduced the Mother Boxes, devices that act like super-supercomputers in possession of fantastic powers and abilities. There are three Mother Boxes hidden away on Earth: one under the sea with the Atlanteans, one with the Amazons, and one with humankind. Cyborg , the half-human half-machine member of the team, has been confirmed as one of the Mother Boxes in Justice League.

This probably isn’t a surprise to the comicbook fans who saw the movie. The latest issue of Total Film (via Reddit) has confirmed that the scene in BvS where we saw Cyborg’s mechanical parts constructing themselves is the Mother Box at work. Dr. Silas Stone was desperate to save his son after an accident, which drives him to use something called “U.S. Gov Object 6-19-82,” which turns out to be the third Mother Box.

This is important because it means Darkseid is coming, it’s lit. The only villain confirmed so far is Steppenwolf, who is searching for the Mother Boxes on Darkseid’s behalf. This also confirms that Cyborg will be crucial to the plot of Justice League, which will be dope, since we haven’t seen much of him yet except that one short scene in BvS. My boy needs some love!

Justice League hits theaters November 17.
