The Flash/Supergirl Musical Crossover To Air in March; More Characters Will Perform
A couple of weeks ago we shared the news that The Flash/Supergirl Musical Crossover had finally found it’s villain in Music Meister. Now, we’ve got a little more info for you guys.
Reports are coming in everywhere, confirming that the episodes will in fact air on March 20th (Supergirl), and March 21st (The Flash), with the latter containing most of the musical numbers.
The episode of The Flash is said to be titled “Duet,” and will feature a performance from Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Melissa Benoist(Kara Dancers/Supergirl), Jesse L. Martin (Detective Joe West), Victor Garber (Professor Stein/Firestorm), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon), Jeremy Jordan, (Winn Schott), and finally, John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn). David Harewood ( Hank Henshaw/Martian Manhunter) and Chris Wood (Mon-El) also have a role in this episode, but sadly they won’t be belting out any notes for us.
Incredibly enough, each of the actors that we mentioned are actually singers. We all know Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist were both on FOX’s Glee in the past, but all the other guys had a singing role in another production somewhere down the line.
When asked for a comment on the episode, EP Andrew Kreisberg had this to say:
“When we get to the musical episode, both Barry and Kara will find themselves at pivotal crossroads on their respective series, and the experience of going through the musical will have a great impact on both series going forward.”
Still no word on who is going to play Music Meister, but hearing all of these announcements are enough to hold us over until more news hits the web. We’ll keep you guys posted.
Supergirl returns on Monday, January 23rd, and The Flash Returns on January 24th. Both at 7pm CST.
