Black Panther: T’Challa’s Time in American Schools Will be Shown Through Flashbacks
Anybody who’s anybody knows that T’Challa aka Black Panther is not only royalty, but he’s something of a genius as well. Currently ranking in at the 7th smartest person in the Marvel universe (that doesn’t sound that amazing, but it really is), T’Challa is more than just muscle. But how did the Wakandan King obtain all of this knowledge? Well, he went to school, and it appears we’re going to see some of his time in school in his upcoming film.
East Bay Times reported that the Transit Agency is allowing Marvel Studios to use their bus logo from the 1990’s for a scene in Black Panther in which T’Challa – who is a student at Saint Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, California at the time – waits for the bus that takes him to school everyday. Sadly for the folks in Cali that were looking to be extras, Marvel is shooting this scene in Atlanta, Georgia, and will be renting a bus that resembles the kinds of that era, and just painting it with the Agency’s logo.
Black Panther is going to take place in the fictional country of Wakanda, but it was always rumored that he’d be Stateside for at least a scene or two. Now we’ve got confirmation of that, and it’s kind of exciting. That scene could contain an Easter egg of some sort, or just some fan service for all of us. Either way, it’s nice to know that T’Challa had some interaction with the world outside of Wakanda before returning there as royalty. Maybe the flashbacks will help us understand why he stayed away from America for so long after becoming an adult. Maybe we’ll get even more flashbacks, who knows? Either way, tell us how you guys feel about this in the comment section below!
