Surely by now you’ve been made aware of the fact that Warner Bros. is going forward with Gotham City Sirens, and they’ve called on Suicide Squad director David Ayer to return once more and direct this film as well. Fans are definitely excited about the prospect of seeing Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman share a screen, if nothing else with this film. With Ayer directing this project, this will be the second time that he and Margot Robbie – the actress who portrayed Harley Quinn – team up for a DCEU film. However, it appears that Will Smith wants a piece of the action with this film as well.

While interviewing with MTV, Smith – who played Deadshot in Suicide Squad – has confirmed that if asked by Margot Robbie, he’d love to make an appearance in the Siren’s film:

I’d definitely love to be in it. I love Margot Robbie, I would do, like, anything she wants to do.

Maybe not the best choice of word there Will, but we’ll let it slide.

If you asked people, they’d probably all say that the DC Extended Universe isn’t off to a great start, with three of their films splitting fans and critics alike down the middle, Suicide Squad included. That being said, most would agree that Smith and Robbie had great on-screen chemistry as Deadshot and Harley Quinn, and that was the best part of the film. We definitely wouldn’t mind seeing Deadshot saddle up in this female-led DC film, but it all comes down to Warner Bros. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Gotham City Sirens has yet to receive an official release date, but we’ll keep you posted on when it does.
