Wonder Woman has just passed both Captain America: Civil War at the box office. Over the long weekend, the Patty Jenkins directed film took in another $450,000 at the box office.

With this latest box office performance, Wonder Woman‘s total domestic gross is now roughly $408.9 million. This puts the film just behind Iron Man 3 in the 21 spot on the list of top 20 grossing domestic films of all time.

With Wonder Woman still in theaters and still consistently bringing in great ticket sales, it’s highly likely that the film will surpass the Marvel film in the coming weeks.

If the film manages to crack the top 20, it will be another in a long line of milestones that the film has already achieved, including the highest grossing live-action film by a female director amongst many others.

The sequel to Wonder Woman has already been announced with Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns writing the treatment. Johns also confirmed that he was writing the script while he was at San Diego Comic Con back in July.

Wonder Woman 2 is slated to hit theaters on December 13, 2019. But if you cannot wait that long, you can see Diana Prince again in Justice League on November 17, 2017.
