Wonder Woman exceeded expectations at the box office over its opening weekend and now its set a record for the second best Tuesday in June for a live-action feature, raking in $14.4 million  yesterday.

The film standing in Wonder Woman‘s way for the top spot is the 2015 movie, Jurassic World, which made $24.3 million.

This past weekend has been filled with praise for the Patty Jenkins directed film (even from actors and directors in the MCU) and  she even scored a new record for biggest box-office opening for a female director ever, knocking Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey) from the top spot.
